Military schools
are structured, academically accredited, and military based
institutions where cadets (students) are put through rigorous physical
training and military exercises. Most military schools stress
discipline, athletic programs, and have an extensive focus on academia.
Military schools try to emulate the student life, activities, and
education around the military and ROTC type programs. Military schools
have long been an option for parents who have a youth that is failing
in school, defiant, or experimenting with drugs/alcohol
(Military-School Information).
Military schools have excellent academic programs. Cadets are able to
work at their own pace; with as much one on one time with the
instructor as they need. Often cadets are able to complete one year of
high school in four to six months. College courses are available once
the teen receives their high school education. Overall these programs
are very effective and are an excellent choice for the troubled teen
and their family (Military-School Info.).
